ICCID disclosure via incorrect Telecom logging
Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jul-2022 Release 1 allows local users to read ICCID data from Telecom logs. The Telecom application's logging implementation writes the ICCID, a SIM-card identifier, into device logs accessible outside the intended trust boundary. A local low-privileged context with log access is required, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of the ICCID.
