IMSI disclosure via device-log entry
Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Sensitive information exposure in ImsCore on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jul-2022 Release 1 allows local users to read IMSI data. ImsServiceSwitchBase writes the device's IMSI to a device log instead of preventing the identifier from entering log output. Exploitation requires local access and permission to read device logs; the disclosed identifier does not grant data modification or service disruption.
