CVE-2022-33686

ICCID disclosure via improper logging

Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Exposure of Sensitive Information in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jul-2022 Release 1 allows local attackers to read ICCID via device logs. GsmAlarmManager improperly logs the ICCID value, making it retrievable from log output by a local process with high privileges. The vendor states that the patch fixes improper logging; exploitation requires local privileged access and affects confidentiality without integrity or availability impact.
