Elevation of privilege in Microsoft Azure Site Recovery before 9.49 allows remote attackers on an adjacent network to gain elevated access. Microsoft has not published the affected request, component operation, or authorization error, leaving the concrete privilege boundary and wrong operation undisclosed. Exposure is limited to on-premises VMware or physical-server replication deployments; Microsoft says the July 2022 ASR CVE set requires compromised legitimate credentials, although this CVE's vector records no prior privileges.
