Remote code execution in Microsoft Windows PPTP allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending crafted network traffic. Microsoft identifies improper synchronization in PPTP but has not published the named code locus, shared resource, or erroneous operation. Exploitation requires a reachable Windows PPTP endpoint and depends on race timing outside the attacker's control.
