CVE-2022-3363Public exploit

Account-change alert suppression via omitted email notification

Published Oct 26, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025

Business logic error in Rdiffweb before 2.5.0a7 allows attackers to change MFA settings without triggering an email alert. The MFA preference handler completes a valid enable or disable action but, before the patch, publishes no confirmation email; notification is also disabled by default. The CNA assessment requires high privileges, physical proximity, and user interaction; the consequence is loss of an account-change warning rather than direct data access or code execution.
