Authenticated command execution via tools_name shell injection
Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
OS command injection in Robustel R1510 3.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through the web interface. The /ajax/clear_tools_log/ handler inserts the tools_name request value into an rm command string and passes it directly to system(). Access requires the device's web GUI and an account permitted to edit functions; successful injection runs commands on the router.
