Memory corruption via crafted AGM IPC address
Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon audio allows local users with high privileges to alter memory via a crafted AGM IPC address. During audio playback or capture, AGM IPC forwards the crafted address to AGM, where an incorrect type conversion or cast corrupts memory. High-privilege local access is required; Qualcomm does not disclose whether the corruption causes a crash, code execution, or another outcome.
