CVE-2022-33294Network attack vector

Service interruption via NULL LwM2M response dereference

Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

NULL pointer dereference in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted LwM2M responses. The modem's LwM2M response handler dereferences a NULL pointer while processing replies to registration, update, or bootstrap requests. No privileges or user interaction are required, and the resulting denial of service is transient rather than an unrecoverable device failure.
