Information disclosure via malformed IP header over-read
Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Buffer over-read in Qualcomm modem firmware allows remote attackers to disclose memory by sending an IP header with a malformed length. The modem trusts the header length while receiving the packet and reads beyond the intended buffer boundary. A network path to the modem is required; the out-of-bounds read exposes memory and can also interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
