Memory disclosure via IPv6 header buffer over-read
Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem firmware allows remote attackers to disclose memory through a crafted IPv6 packet. The unfragmented-header length calculation reads beyond the packet buffer while processing malformed IPv6 header data. Network access to an affected modem is sufficient, with no authentication or user interaction required; Qualcomm has not detailed the exposed memory.
