CVE-2022-33258Network attack vector

Unauthenticated memory disclosure via configuration buffer over-read

Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem firmware allows remote attackers to disclose memory while configuration parameters are read. The modem configuration-parameter reader consumes data past the end of its buffer and exposes adjacent memory contents. Network reachability without authentication or user interaction is sufficient, and the disclosed bytes can contain adjacent modem memory.
