Memory corruption via invalid voice-session pointer offset
Published Feb 9, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon audio firmware allows local users with high privileges to corrupt memory through a voice-call request. The audio path derives an out-of-range pointer offset when user space initiates a voice call with an invalid session identifier. Reachability requires local high-privilege access; successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability within the affected device.
