CVE-2022-33229Network attack vector

Memory disclosure via IPv4 static-array over-read

Published Feb 9, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

A buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem firmware allows remote attackers to disclose memory through crafted IPv4 packets. The modem data-network stack uses a static array while processing IPv4 packets and reads beyond its buffer boundary; Qualcomm has not identified the affected function or field. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the bounded consequences are memory disclosure and service interruption.
