Remote service interruption via chunked-packet null dereference
Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Null pointer dereference in the modem of Qualcomm Snapdragon allows remote attackers to interrupt service with an HTTP chunked packet. The modem's chunked-transfer parser dereferences a null pointer while processing a crafted incoming packet. No authentication or user interaction is required; the documented consequence is a transient modem service interruption, not data access or modification.
