Memory corruption via PPP packet buffer overflow

Stack-based buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem firmware allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory with a crafted PPP packet. The modem PPP packet-processing path copies attacker-controlled packet data into a stack buffer without adequately checking its size. Network access with low privileges is required; successful exploitation can compromise modem confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
