Memory corruption via miscalculated CoAP message size

Memory corruption in Qualcomm Snapdragon modem firmware allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through a crafted serialized CoAP message. The modem calculates the serialized message size without properly validating the CoAP input, causing an incorrect allocation or bounds decision. No authentication or user interaction is required, but Qualcomm has not disclosed the resulting failure mode beyond memory corruption.
