Root code execution via stack buffer overflows

Stack buffer overflows in Brocade Fabric OS allow local users with authenticated access to execute arbitrary code as root. The flaw is in the fab_seg.c.h libraries, but Broadcom has not disclosed which operation writes beyond a stack buffer or what input reaches it. A valid local account is required; successful exploitation crosses the account boundary and runs attacker-controlled code under the root account.
