Privileged code execution via RADIUS role script
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025
Improper input validation in Brocade Fabric OS before 9.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through RADIUS. The RADIUS authentication system executes a script supplied in the Brocade-Auth-Role parameter instead of validating it as role data. Exploitation requires privileged control of the RADIUS-supplied attribute and grants code execution on the switch.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
