CVE-2022-33175Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator session hijacking via exposed token array

Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in Powertek PDU firmware before 3.30.30 allows remote attackers to obtain administrator session tokens over HTTP. The /cgi/get_param.cgi endpoint returns the user.token array to unauthenticated XML requests because that field is assigned public read access. Network access to the PDU web interface and an active administrator session are required; a disclosed token permits session impersonation, cleartext password retrieval, and device reconfiguration.
