Administrator code execution via writable template content
Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Remote code execution in ESPCMS P8 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through the administration interface. TemplateFile.php writes administrator-controlled content into a template file; ESPCMS_Templates.php loads the file with file_get_contents and passes its contents to eval. Administrator access and a subsequent home-page request are required, after which the injected PHP runs on the server.
