Invalid arithmetic shifts in lrzip 0.651 allow local users to crash the process by decompressing crafted LRZ archives. In get_magic, attacker-controlled header bytes produce an unrepresentable signed 64-bit left shift, while Predictor::init left-shifts a negative value read from embedded ZPAQ data. Execution requires a user to open the crafted archive; the demonstrated consequence is process termination, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
