Authenticated SQL injection via reservation id
Published Jun 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Online Railway Reservation System v1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database data via the reservation deletion endpoint. The delete_reservation handler passes the id parameter into an SQL statement without adequate neutralization, allowing crafted input to change query semantics and extract database information. Exploitation requires access to the authenticated administrative web interface; the demonstrated impact includes confidentiality, integrity, and availability loss in the application database.
