Binary hijacking in Orwell Dev-C++ 5.11 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through a crafted executable file. The IDE's process-launch path misuses CreateProcessA, allowing Windows to resolve an attacker-controlled executable through an uncontrolled search-path element. Execution requires the victim to open or run the crafted file, and the injected code runs with the victim's privileges.
