Stored script execution via unsanitized Name field
Published Jun 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Delta Electronics DIAEnergie 1.08.00 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a user’s browser through the Name field. The /api/DiaSettings/PutIoTHubSetting endpoint accepts and stores a scripted Name value even after server request validation flags it as dangerous. Execution requires a user to load the affected IoT Hub Settings page, allowing the script to act within that user’s browser context.
