Stored XSS via unescaped list value rendering
Published Jun 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in ASUS DSL-N14U-B1 firmware 1.1.2.3_805 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The affected ASP templates call tcWebApi_get to place stored *list parameter values inside single-quoted JavaScript strings without neutralizing quote-breaking input. An authenticated user must save a crafted list value and an administrator must open an affected page; the script then runs with that page's browser privileges.
