Service interruption via unbounded SSH-key title
Published Sep 26, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
Resource exhaustion in IKUS Software Rdiffweb before 2.4.8 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via an oversized SSH-key title. The SshForm title field accepted attacker-controlled strings without a length validator, allowing excessive memory consumption during SSH-key creation. Network reachability to the web interface is sufficient under the published no-privilege assessment, and exploitation can degrade or halt service without affecting stored data.
