CVE-2022-32961

Arbitrary code execution via unvalidated token length

Published Jul 20, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in HiCOS Natural Person Credential Component Client allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary code. The PKCS#11 module reads token information from an IC card into a stack buffer without validating the parameter length. A crafted physical card and reader access are required; successful exploitation permits code execution, system-data manipulation, or a service crash.
