CVE-2022-32919Network attack vector

UI spoofing via mishandled Punycode Arabic diacritics

Published Jan 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025

UI spoofing in WebKit in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 16.2 and macOS before 13.1 allows remote attackers to misrepresent framed web content. WebKit mishandles Punycode Arabic diacritics in a URL host when no Arabic code point precedes them, allowing a framed page to present a deceptive interface. Exploitation requires a user to visit attacker-controlled web content, and the documented consequence is UI spoofing rather than code execution or data access.
