Out-of-bounds read in AppleScript in Apple macOS allows local users to expose process memory or terminate a process using a crafted binary. The AppleScript binary parser reads beyond a buffer boundary when processing attacker-controlled data because it does not adequately validate bounds. Execution requires user interaction to open or otherwise process the file; reported impact is limited to a process crash or disclosure of process memory.
