File-size limit bypass via client-controlled parameter
Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 13, 2025
Improper upload validation in Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for Contact Form 7 before 1.3.6.5 allows remote attackers to exceed file-size limits. The dnd_codedropz_upload AJAX handler trusts the client-supplied size_limit multipart field instead of enforcing the limit configured in the Contact Form 7 upload field. A public form containing the plugin upload field is sufficient to submit an oversized file, consuming upload storage beyond the administrator-defined limit.
