Unauthenticated root command execution via doDebug
Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
OS command injection in Abode Systems iota All-In-One Security Kit 6.9X and 6.9Z allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. The doDebug XCMD handler inserts the attacker-controlled poke attribute into a /bin/kill command without sanitization and passes the result to system(). Unauthenticated UDP packets to port 55050 can reach the handler; authenticated local web or XMPP channels also expose it, enabling full control of the hub.
