Stream takeover via unchecked sequential schedule ID
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Missing authorization in WWBN AVideo 11.6 and dev master commit 3f7c0364 allows remote authenticated users to take over live schedules. The Live_schedule add endpoint loads a caller-supplied sequential ID without verifying ownership, then assigns the existing schedule to the caller and saves it. The Live plugin is disabled by default, and exploitation requires an account with streaming permission and knowledge or a guess of another schedule ID.
