Stored XSS via unsanitized button formaction attribute
Published Dec 19, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Lansweeper 10.1.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject JavaScript through a crafted HTTP request. SanitizeHtml permits the button element and its formaction attribute without rejecting a javascript URI, so stored news content reaches the page with executable code intact. Administrative access to edit news is required, and the code runs after another user clicks the crafted button in the rendered news widget.
