Command injection via unsanitized module input

Command injection in Puppet MySQL Module before 13.0.0 allows attackers to execute commands when supplying unsanitized module input. Puppet exec resources construct arbitrary shell strings from module parameters without neutralizing shell metacharacters, so attacker-controlled parameters can alter the command that runs. Exploitation requires the ability to provide such input through a Puppet class or integration, a condition Puppet describes as uncommon; successful injection can execute commands with the Puppet process's privileges.
