Credential compromise via inadequate account lockout
Published Jun 15, 2023 · Updated Dec 12, 2024
Improper account lockout in IBM Security Directory Suite VA 8.0.1 through 8.0.1.19 allows remote attackers to brute force credentials. The directory server's authentication controls do not adequately restrict repeated login attempts against an account. No prior access or user interaction is required, and successful guessing exposes the compromised account's directory privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
