Email content disclosure via forwarded-article replies
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Information disclosure in OTRS 7.0.x through 7.0.34 and 8.0.x through 8.0.22 allows remote authenticated users to expose email content. OTRS AG identifies the External Interface reply workflow but has not published the affected function or code-level operation that mishandles article content. Exploitation requires a reply to an email article forwarded by a third party and user interaction; the consequence is unauthorized disclosure of that email content to the ticket customer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
