CVE-2022-3270Network attack vector

Unauthenticated device compromise via undocumented remote protocol

Published Dec 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

Undocumented remote functions in Festo industrial devices allow remote attackers to read or alter data and interrupt operation. An undocumented protocol exposes device functions over unspecified IP ports without requiring authentication, while the vendor material does not disclose the commands or request format. Network reachability to an affected device is sufficient, and successful use can compromise stored or processed data and device availability.
