CVE-2022-3268Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account compromise via unenforced password length bounds

Published Sep 22, 2022 · Updated May 23, 2025

Weak password requirements in IKUS Software Minarca before 4.2.2 allow remote attackers to compromise accounts through guessable credentials. The Minarca server's bundled Rdiffweb user-password validation accepts passwords without enforced minimum and maximum length bounds. No authentication or user interaction is required to attempt password guessing, and a guessed privileged account grants access to its data and functions.
