Remote privilege escalation via command injection
Published Jan 3, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Command injection in MediaTek Config Manager in Linux SDK before TLM-7.3.293.0 allows remote attackers to escalate privileges. MediaTek attributes the flaw to improper input validation but has not disclosed the affected interface, parameter, or command-construction path. Exploitation requires user interaction and user-level execution privileges, and successful injection executes commands with elevated privileges on affected EN-series chipsets.
