CVE-2022-32663Network attack vector

Unauthenticated system crash via null pointer dereference

Published Feb 6, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025

NULL pointer dereference in MediaTek Wi-Fi driver 7.6.6.1 allows remote attackers to crash affected systems over a network. MediaTek identifies the Wi-Fi driver as the faulting component but has not disclosed the code path, triggering input, or reason that input reaches a null pointer dereference. Exploitation requires no privileges or user interaction, and the reported consequence is a system crash without reported data access or code execution.
