Privilege escalation via Type-C buffer-size miscalculation

Out-of-bounds write in Type-C code on MediaTek Android 11.0 through 13.0 chipsets allows physically proximate attackers to elevate privileges. The Type-C component calculates a destination buffer size incorrectly and then writes beyond that buffer, corrupting adjacent memory. Exploitation requires physical access to a device using an affected MT6789, MT6855, MT6895, MT6983, or MT8798 chipset; it needs neither prior execution privileges nor user interaction.
