Local privilege escalation via mismatched Parcel deserialization

Deserialization in MediaTek chipset telephony on Android 10.0, 11.0, and 12.0 allows local users to escalate privileges. The telephony component deserializes a Parcel with a mismatched format, causing a permission check to be bypassed; MediaTek has not disclosed the affected code path. Exploitation requires existing low-privileged local code execution on an affected device, needs no user interaction, and grants higher privileges.
