Cellular service interruption via malformed SMS length

Improper input validation in MediaTek RIL on Android 11.0 and 12.0 allows remote attackers to crash cellular service via a crafted SMS. The Radio Interface Layer fails to reject a GSM 7-bit SMS whose signaled user-data length is smaller than its body, then crashes while handling it. No privileges or user interaction are required; delivery depends on carrier validation, and the resulting modem restart interrupts cellular connectivity.
