Authenticated command execution via unsanitized download URL
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
OS command injection in WWBN AVideo 11.6 and commit 3f7c0364 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. objects/aVideoEncoder.json.php passes POST downloadURL into wget(), which interpolates it unquoted into a shell command executed by exec(). A valid session is required, and the vulnerable branch is limited to non-Windows hosts when the initial URL retrieval fails.
