Unauthenticated settings modification via missing role check
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in XDCR in Couchbase Server 4.0.0 through 7.0.3 allows remote attackers to modify internal settings without authentication. The XDCR settings interface performs no role check before accepting changes to its internal configuration. Network access alone is sufficient, and the documented consequence is limited to unauthorized configuration changes affecting integrity.
