Unauthenticated database disclosure via unsanitized AJAX parameter
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 6, 2025
SQL injection in Strategy11 Team AWP Classifieds before 4.3 allows remote attackers to read WordPress database data through an AJAX request. The unauthenticated awpcp-get-regions-options action inserts the user-controlled type parameter into an SQL statement without adequate sanitization or escaping. The path is reachable only when the premium Region Control module is active, and the demonstrated UNION query extracts WordPress usernames and password hashes.
