Insulin delivery manipulation via exposed pairing protocol

Improper protection in Medtronic MiniMed 600 Series pumps 620G, 630G, 640G, and 670G allows physically proximate attackers to alter insulin delivery. During device pairing, the pump exposes aspects of its wireless protocol that permit an unauthorized component to gain access and issue delivery-control commands. The attacker must be near the patient during pairing and possess advanced technical knowledge; successful access can initiate an unintended bolus or slow or stop insulin delivery.
