Remote code execution via unchecked alarm-cache copy
Published Jan 30, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Stack overflow in Schneider Electric IGSS Data Server before 15.0.0.22170 allows remote attackers to execute code via alarm-cache messages. The opcode 18 ALMCACHE appendRequest path trusts an attacker-controlled item count when calculating the destination for a memcpy operation. The service listens on TCP port 12401 without requiring authentication or user interaction, and corruption can crash the server or execute code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
