CVE-2022-32513Network attack vector

Device takeover via brute-forced weak passwords

Published Jan 30, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Weak password requirements in Schneider Electric C-Bus controllers before 1.10.0 allow remote attackers to gain device control by brute force. Schneider Electric identifies a deficient password policy but does not disclose which credential rules or authentication endpoint permit repeated guesses. Network reachability to the controller login service is required, and a successful guess grants control of building-automation functions.
